It's bad enough that teens are already expected to attend school during the hours doctors agree they should be asleep, doing hours of homework afterward while they attempt to balance chores, jobs, siblings, activities and hormones in a cacaphony that none of us would expect out of ourselves, yet now we're demanding that they be made unsafer in school with a bunch of armed teachers? You have to be kidding, Mr. Trump. You do that and you're only doing to see the current rate of a shooting a week double and worse.
It is absolutely reprehensible that we're allowing this carnage to continue. A school shooting a week? 90 people dead every day? And for what? So you can carry a gun around and feel tough? No. This is NOT a partisan issue. It all comes down to your own pockets.
No, reading a few books isn't about to make Trump just abandon office, but reading up on him and his ilk can help us create strategies to show him the door next election. This year we have a key election in which we can take back the House and Senate, so it's more important than ever to be well-read and know what we're up against.
The ironic thing is that it's probably one of the least disturbing or even treasonous things he's done himself.
