If you're sent to prison, for any reason, you're usually still allowed visitors. It may be on certain dates during certain times, but you can still see your loved ones face to face, which is important since we are, after all, social mammals who need that kind of contact. Now some prisons are canceling all in-person visits, instead forcing inmates to see their loved ones via video chat.
So much for the senate coming through for us on this ridiculous tax bill that not only rewards the rich and penalizes the middle class but also somehow promotes drilling in Alaska and redefines life as something that begins at conception. As insane as this sounds, these tiny inclusions here and there are going to leave a lasting impact by building a solid case for the Right to use in creating dangerous policies that affect us all.
Republican Roy Moore, the accused sexaul pedator running for office in Alabama, was beaten yesterday by Democrat Doug Jones, which led many people to rejoice. While many women came forward to accuse Moore of sexual misconduct, particularly during their teen years, Moore's support largely unwavered by his party. He won the white vote in Alabama and his loss was so narrow that he's demanding a recount right now.
Everyone knows that Bruce Springsteen's version of "Santa Clause is Comin' to Town" is the best there is, but Jimmy Fallon just created a whole new animal by dressing as Springsteen and performing the song, "Robert Mueller is Comin' to Town." He began his rendition by asking if the Trump administration has been good this year, following with, "You better watch out, you'd better not cry, you'd better not lie to the FBI!" It's absolutely hilarious.
Trump is doing all kinds of embarrassing and heinous things, from crying foul over "fake news" being worse than sexual harassment, telling Native American heroes that "we have a Pocahontas," and sharing white supremacist tweets with the world, but it's doing nothing but distracting Americans from what's being done to us behind the curtain--like the terrible GOP tax bill that will put strain on the middle class and eliminate things
