Christine O'Donnell Has Won, Already. Not the Senate Seat.

Item from the Associated Press --"Republican candidate Christine O'Donnell and Democrat Chris Coons traded shots and personal attacks in a lively 90-minute nationally televised debate in Newark, Del. The two candidates are vying for Joe Biden's seat in the U.S. Senate." See the video.

The buzz on the net is the question: How did Christine O'Donnell do?

In the debate? That debate doesn't matter. Christine O'Donnell is doing very well for herself. In fact, the witchy lady has won. Yes, Christine O'Donnell has won.

Campaign Finance Reform or Disclosure?

Cenk Uygur, the host of The Young Turks, yesterday, filled in for Chris Jansing on MSNBC Live. He made the case for the public funding of elections.. See the video.

I disagree with Cenk on this one. America does not need the public funding of elections. Public funding is not a good thing. What we need is full disclosure of all donors, a full listing of the source of every dollar, and an outright banding of secret funds, so that the public will be informed of to whom the candidates are beholden. Public financing favors establishment candidates. Rules are set up for recipients of the funding, The rules are barriers to true grass root candidates. Also folks have a right to support, with their dollars, whom ever they choose to support.

Chamber of Commerce has some explaining to do

Taking Foreign Money, Using It On Campaigns?!

Thomas Donohue, CEO of the Chamber of Commerce, bag man for foreign money -- Is he a traitor? Is he taking foreign money to do the bidding of foreign interest?!

The big question that the Chamber of Commerce has refused to answer is how does the Chamber account for the foreign funds it is taking from foreigners, and is putting into the same pot of money it is using to fund attack ads against Democratic candidates during the mid-term elections?

The Tea Party Is Phony Baloney Anti-Government

Yesterday, "Cenk Uygur (host of The Young Turks) filling in for Chris Jansing on MSNBC Live explains why generic anti-government rhetoric is absurd." See the video.

What the GOP-Tea Party is, is not anti-government. It's leading stars want to expand government power into doing things that they want done. Rand Paul, Sharron Angle, Christine O'Donnell, Joe Miller, Ken Buck, want to increase the government's police power, give it new power to regulate what goes on in America's bedrooms. They want to expand government, create a sort of religious police to police America's morals.

Hypocrite Joe, What is he hiding now?

Joe Miller refuses to answer questions about past.

Joe Miller is such a phony baloney that he can't withstand press scrutiny. When the spotlight is put on him and on other Tea Partiers like him, they shrink away, run and hide behind clouds of smoke and millions of dollars of paid ads, funded by corporate money from secret donors.

The Associated Press reports -- "Alaska U.S. Senate hopeful Joe Miller said Monday he will no longer answer reporters' questions about his background and personal life."

These Guys Want To Regulate Your Bedroom

Jim DeMint, Tea Partiers' Big Bro. Calling The Shots

The Tea Party has been captured by loonies who want to police America's bedrooms.

"Alan Abramowitz, a political science professor at Emory University in Atlanta, said his research shows tea party activists are overwhelmingly conservative Republicans. Rather than an outside alternative to the GOP, he said, the tea party is a movement from within the Republican Party's most active members."

These hard-core GOP wing nuts have produced a crop of loonies.

Take the loony Carl Paladino, who is the GOP-Tea Party guy running for governor of New York.

Under Pressure Nazi Guy Says He's Not A Nazi?!

GOP Leader repudiates Nazi Tea Partier?

Rich Iott, the GOP-Tea Party candidate for the U.S. House in Ohio, who for years dressed up in a German SS uniform to participate in Nazi reenactments, defended Nazi re-enactments, and after the GOP second in command in the House, who happens to be Jewish, criticized him, made a little bow to Jewish sentiments.

On Fox News Sunday, House Republican, No. 2 leader, Eric Cantor of Virginia, said he "repudiates Iott's actions and would not support someone who would dress in Nazi attire."

Sharron Angle Truth Challenged Queen

Queen of The Truth Challenged GOP-Tea Partiers

Now that the Democrats are doing what they should have been doing all along, focusing the public's attention on the radical and kooky things that the GOP-Tea Party candidates are saying, those candidates have had to resort to outright lying about their positions. The Queen Tea Party falsehood teller is Sharron Angle, who is running for the U.S. Senate for Nevada's senate seat.

Ms. Angle has told so many blatant, outright, so easily checkable lies, denied the radical things she has said, while still saying them, that some are calling her a pathological liar, who must think that the voters of Nevada are either stupid or are not really paying attention to what she says. The extent of her lying gives one cause to wonder if she is paying attention to what she says.

Clinton Smacks Rand Paul; Paul Swings Back With What?

Rand Paul Has No Shame?

Bill Clinton went to Kentucky to campaign for the Democratic candidate for U.S. Senate, Attorney General Jack Conway, yesterday, Monday, and criticized the GOP-Tea Party candidate Rand Paul, for "radical ideas," for "wanting to repeal programs such as loans for college students and new controls on big financial institutions — even as (he) push(es) tax cuts for the rich."

An Object Thrown at President Obama

Book Narrowly Misses; Mr. Obama Unaware of the Danger.

Yesterday in Philadelphia, during a campaign rally, someone threw a book at the head of the President of the United States, Mr. Barack Obama. As of this post, it is still not clear where the book came from in the crowd, or why it was thrown at Mr Obama, who according to press reports, "did not appear to notice the danger."

Putting The Blame Where It Belongs, On Haters.

Rove, Bush's Old Hack, Is that Nose Growing?

Karl Rove Rants; Won't Explain Source of Funds

This week-end on the Sunday talk shows, a hot topic was the huge tons of corporate money being spent on GOP-Tea Party candidates, and the reports that some of those funds are tainted, were funneled by foreign business entities through the Chamber of Commerce, and that Mr. Karl Rove's own kitty of millions for GOP'ers has a list of secret donors.

Tea Partier Carl Paladino goes Homophobic

Yesterday, Sunday, Carl Paladino, the Tea Partier-GOP New York gubernatorial candidate, playing the gay bashing card, made some very homophobic remarks. Mr. Paladino must not be following the news. Eight thugs are under arrest in New York City for torturing gays.

ABC News reports -- "Political observers could not recall the last time a major-party candidate in New York had made such comments about homosexuality."

Ms Phony Baloney Says She Ain't Extreme No More, But!

Sharron Angle as well as Ken Buck, as well as other extremists running as GOP-Tea Partiers, are walking away from many of their positions, as if they are being orchestrated to do you by some controlling GOP-Tea Party master.

The Associated Press reports that yesterday, Saturday, Ms. Angle said "she wouldn't work to privatize Veterans Affairs, dismantle Social Security or dismiss unemployment benefits as welfare. Angle distanced herself from her previous comments on government benefits.

GOP Wants America to Fail?

It has been apparent for some time that the GOP set out to try to make the Obama Administration fail, by blocking every measure that could improve the economy, in the hopes that a bad economy would be blamed on Mr. Obama.

Jeff Merkley, Democrat, US Senator from Oregon -- "Here we have a program CBO (Congressional Budget Office) scored as making the treasure a billion dollars over the next ten years and equal credit $300 billion of credit to small this business. Republicans are opposing. . There's no national reason unless the goal is to drive the American economy into a double dip recession. You feel like honestly Republicans are opposing the policies they're opposing and promoting policies they're promoting because they want a bad economic outcome?"

Getting Out The Base

Rachel Maddow hit a home run last night on her show. She showed how issues that Democrats care about will bring Democratic voters to the polls and thus elect Democratic candidates to office.. She highlighted the minimum wage issue. See the video.

Democrats need to do a better job of reminding the voters of the real difference between Democrats and Republicans. Yes, there are real differences, on real economic issues.
