The DEA don't cut no ice with Mr. Karzai
Well, like a street dude would put it, in so many words, Mr Karzai, the President of Afghanistan. ain't gonna cooperate with no stinking DEA agents, and ain't gonna quit helping his drug buddies, and ain't gonna stop getting them out of jail, when they get busted.
The New York Times, wi'th the benefit of a bunch WikiLeaks cables, reports that Hamid Karzai our? America's? guy? His own guy? in Afghanistan? Our ally? He is so corrupt.
Reports the Times -- "President (Hamid) Karzai and his attorney general have repeatedly intervened in major narcotics cases by ordering the release of suspects, including some with political ties to the president."
Well, well, well, -- more evidence that the United States' top ally? in that country is a very corrupt individual.
From the diplomatic cable obtained by WikiLeaks and provided to The New York Times --" On numerous occasions we have emphasized with Attorney General Aloko the need to end interventions by him and President Karzai, who both authorize the release of detainees pre-trial and allow dangerous individuals to go free or re-enter the battlefield without ever facing an Afghan court. ...Despite our complaints and expressions of concern to the [government], pre-trial releases continue."
Well? What do those chumps expect? If you deal with a crooked dude, you had better expect to be cheated, and lied to, and laughed at too.
