Haley Barbour Wants To White Wash History

Haley Barbour -- Governor Cornpone, Mush mouth; Hog Brains, himself, remarks on race were reported yesterday by the Weekly Standard. Judging from what he said, maybe one can put his name down on the list of those fellas who suffer from a massive memory loss? Maybe since he's a politician, one could say, that this old daddy cornpone was just being much more than a little bit political? And when he spoke to the Weekly Standard, he was busy, spinning the facts dizzy? And / or maybe he thinks that every body else is memory challenged too?

Haley B., for beast belly blowhard, is the Governor of Mississippi, and he has a dream? His dream act is is that he wants to be the President? Of what? The White Citizens Council? The President of the United States? Who's he's kidding?

Old pork heavy Barbour explained his views on America's civil rights movement.

The Weekly Standard reports that old hog belly Barbour said about race relations in his childhood home of Yazoo City, Mississippi, "I just don't remember it as being that bad." He also praised the White Citizens Council as a civics minded bunch of regular guys, when what they really were, was a hard core racist organization that resisted the civil rights movement, often using violence and terror. Old Cornpone tried to white wash the hate.

From the Weekly Standatd --

(Barbour) said. “I remember Martin Luther King came to town, in ’62. He spoke out at the old fairground and it was full of people, black and white.”

Did you go; (the reporter) asked.
“Sure, I was there with some of my friends.”
(The reporter) asked him why he went out.
“We wanted to hear him speak.”

(The reporter) asked what King had said that day.

“I don’t really remember. The truth is, we couldn’t hear very well. We were sort of out there on the periphery. We just sat on our cars, watching the girls, talking, doing what boys do. We paid more attention to the girls than to King.”

Really? I doubt his story? I doubt that he ever attended a King rally? Without wearing his pillow case? Over his head? With two holes cut out for eyes? And without wearing his bed sheets? I could be wrong? But I doubt it.
