What do you get when you get the combination of Tim Pawlenty, Michelle Bachmann, Sarah Palin, and Sean Hannity? One big, Fox News loving, Tea Party drinking, 'You Betcha' admiration festival. It could also be described as one, big joke. The Wall Street Journal quotes Bachman and Palin as saying,
"She is so much one of us," Bachmann said of Palin, "And as absolutely drop dead gorgeous this woman is on the outside, I'm here to testify that she is 20 times more beautiful on the inside."
Palin responded in kind, recalling a meeting in Alaska: "I knew that we'd be buddies when I met her when she said, 'Drill here, drill now.' And then I replied, 'Drill, baby, drill' and then we both said, 'You betcha!'"
Nice comment, Bachmann. Yet again, there is no substance, but just a couple of people patting each other on the back and blubbering about their admiration for each other. It all comes down to money, pure and simple. Pawlenty and Bachmann will try to raise some money, while Palin and Hannity will try to sell some books. The intellects of the Tea Party will weep seeing the combo of Bachmann and Palin, and Fox News will love the ratings this gathering of Republican All-Stars will get, for the viewers will nod and fist pump to all the incredible and articulate comments they will make.
