Thank you very much, Muhammad Tahir ul-Qadri, for your issed fatwa declaring that suicide bombings and other acts of terriorism are prohibited by Islam. Finally, a religious leader, stands up against violent acts their religion believes is right. Other religions should take note, as well.
Muhammad Tahir ul-Qadri is a Pakistan-born Muslim scholar who now lives in London, and said, “Contrary to the mindset of the perpetrators of the 11th of September 2001 attacks in New York or the 7th July 2005 tube bombs in London, damaging enemy property or avenging a wrong done by another is strictly prohibited by sound Islamic scholarship.
Dr. Qadri is a true leader, and speaks of logic and reason, and must be commended. The fatwa he issued, I'm sure, puts his life in jeopardy, but his words will save countless lives. Religious leaders, like himself, should be the ones to look up to, to seek guidance from, and to learn from, for his words of non-violence truly showcase the good in the world.
Thank you, again, Dr. Qadri, you're a hero in my book.
