Conservative loud mouth, Rush Limbaugh said the following quote during his radio show talking about health care reform, "I'll just tell you this, if this passes and it's five years from now and all that stuff gets implemented—I am leaving the country. I'll go to Costa Rica."
Could it be? Could this bill pass, and the result be Rush Limbaugh finally being unable to brainwash his followers with his outlandish political jargon? That sure would be something.
The irony, in the statement, is what is very comical. Costa Rica has one of the longest standing socialized health-care systems on the this earth, and every resident, no matter if they use the service or if they don't, is required to pay into the government run system.
Limbaugh later went on his show to say that he wouldn't move, but rather go there for medical service, so I guess we're not that lucky. He should, however, be a man of his initial word and head down there for awhile once it passes. Maybe that will give his listeners enough time to regain their sanity, and would be one of the greatest reforms of them all.
