Witchfinder General At Work

A man in Florida, Mr. Terry Jones, who claims to be a religious pastor, and has announced his plan to burn the Islamic holy book the Quran at his church, the Dove World Outreach Center, on the anniversary of the Sept. 11th attacks, has ignited protests, and has drawn the disgust of Americans, whom cherish our First Amendment religious rights, and has drawn a rebuke from one of America's defenders of the Constitution, General Petraeus, America's top commander in Afghanistan, who says, that the preacher could be increasing the threat to American troops.

With the zeal of an old witchfnder general, Mr. Jones has set out to burn "witches," to inflame, to bring a small part of Hell upon this earth. Wrongfully, he rails that "Islam is an evil religion." He has authored the thick-headed book, "Islam Is of the Devil." He has aroused the anger of protesters in Afghan, whom today ranted against him and America, and burned the U.S. flag and the effigy of Mr.Jones. He is increasing the divide between America and the Muslim world. He is doing the work of Al-Qaeda.

A final word: Men who would burn books are men who would burn people. Men who would burn people's Holy books are men who would destroy civilizations. What drive men to demonstrate such outrageous rage, that makes men want to tear down each other, that drives men to rail against Heaven? If God created all of mankind, then to see other men as devils is to be blind to God's design.
